Our speaker on October 14 is Stephen Steese, Town Manager for Bluffton.
As Chief Executive Officer for the Town, Steese is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the town, hiring and supervising Town employees, implementing policies approved by the Town Council, maintaining effective and positive relationships with public/private agencies and organizations that affect the Town’s interests, and more.
Steese previously was the City Administrator for the City of Easley, SC, and the City Manager for the City of Roxboro, NC.
Steese received his Bachelor Degree and Master of Public Administration from Clemson University. He’s a member of various organizations, including the International City County Management Association and the South Carolina City County Management Association.
HGe has been married to Brooke Steese for 24 years. Has 2 boys, Nathan (19), who is a Sophomore at Clemson University, and Samuel (16), who is a Junior at Bluffton High.
He was born and raised around Florence, SC.
