Please join us for our next club meeting this Wednesday, August 10, at 7:30 AM at the Rotary Community Center!  This week we will hear about the South Carolina Aquaculture Potential from from Erin Levesque, Waddell Mariculture Center.

 

Erin has been a Marine Resources Division Biologist since 2000 and now manages the Waddell Mariculture Center, which is a field experiment station of the S.C. Department of Natural Resources and is one of the country's largest and most sophisticated facilities for mariculture research.

 

Last week we heard from Lt. Michael Danyov, Bluffton Police Department, and Ginger Marshall, Public Information Officer of the Beaufort County EMS, on hurricane preparedness tips and what we should do to prepare for a hurricane.

 

 

 

 

This month's 5th Wednesday social will be held on the 4th Wednesday (August 24) in conjunction with the Discover Rotary membership event.  Please go ahead and mark your calendars - there will be NO REGULAR MEETING on August 24th as the floors are being replaced in the Rotary Community Center, but we WILL be having a regular meeting on August 31.
