Our very own Rotarian, Mike Raymond, in his capacity as board member for the Bluffton Township Fire District, spoke to the club last week about our top tier (ISO Rating: 2) local fire district, comprising of 60,000 homes and 8 fire stations with one on the way. A big thank you also to those who participated in the Rum Cake Cupcake Auction last week, which raised funds for Rise Against Hunger and feed the hungry! We raised $2,080 from the auction, including matching funds! And a special thanks to our auctioneer, Steve Miller, who did a stupendous job with the bidding! Please don't forget that Dot Jeger (pictured below) will be available tomorrow to collect any IOU funds.

RECAP: 2/5/20 Meeting
D. Jermaine Husser, VP of Mission Services for Palmetto Goodwill and Executive Director of Palmetto
Warrior Connection (PWC), spoke with us about the services offered by Palmetto Goodwill.
Husser gave an overview of their community integration project called Palmetto Warrior Connection (PWC)
which assists returning veterans and their families transition back into the community. He also stressed
how donations to Palmetto Goodwill make possible many different types of job-training programs and
certificate programs in various industries including welding, trucking, hospitality and the medical field.
