On August 16 17 Rotarians and friends placed Manufactured Wire Reefs (MWRs) along the shore of the May River. This volunteer project is done in concert with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, as part of their South Carolina Oyster Restoration and Enhancement Program (SCORE). The MWRs we placed along the shoreline were ones that our club volunteers built last October. We will have another SCORE project in the near future in order to build more of the MWRs for future placement along the banks of the May River.
