Fellow Bluffton Rotarians,

When you think of your history with Rotary, I hope you have a sense of satisfaction. This may stem from networking opportunities, new and old friendships made, fulfillment of civic duty or most likely some combination thereof. If you haven't found this yet, please give it time and think about getting more involved if you are able. There are lots of opportunities and I promise that if you ask, you shall receive.

Think now of your sponsor. We were all introduced to Rotary by some person at sometime, and we all needed someone to first invite us to a meeting and propose us for membership. What if that had never happened for you? Would things be much different? Would you have lost the opportunity to make some great friends and an outlet for serving and enriching your community?

Now think about how you might serve as a sponsor for someone else. How might you affect that person by introducing him or her to the fellowship of Rotary in the same way you've been affected by your membership? Don't be afraid to invite someone to Rotary, and please do your best to welcome our visitors and get to know them. You could be facilitating the growth of a symbiotic relationship; one that is beneficial to our club, our community, and a new member! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

President Wil
