This is the cancellation message from FaceBook which we posted last week:
WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THE CANCELLATION OF THE 2021 MAYFEST DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
Mayfest, also known as The Bluffton Mayfest, is considered one of the best hometown festivals in the country and this year would have been the 43rd Anniversary of the festival. We are sad to cancel this long-standing event; however, we do so with the safety and health of our community in mind. We know better days are coming, and when they do, we promise we will be ready to host our hilarious Ugly Dog Contest, our very messy Pie-Eating Contest, play some great music, serve some tasty food, and feature some great local and regional artists. We look forward to better days ahead and to hosting Mayfest in 2022.
