On Wednesday, December 8, we had the pleasure of learning about Hilton Head Regional Healthcare by the group's new President and CEO, Mark O'Neil.
Hilton Head Regional Healthcare is an entity that is comprised of Hilton Head Hospital, Coastal Carolina Hospital - which is headed up by fellow club member, Bill Masterton as the Chief Executive Officer - and Okatie Outpatient Center. Over 700 employees are employed by the three facilities who treat roughly 65% of the community in need of healthcare services.
Although Hilton Head Regional Healthcare is a "for profit" group owned by Tenet Healthcare Corporation, there was a total of $27 million in charity care provided last year.
