Bluffton Rotary Club member, Rockelle Henderson, was in the news recently. The Bluffton Book Festival, founded by Rockelle, was featured on the WJCL NEWS 22 website. The annual family-friendly festival aims to raise literacy levels in the Southeast through fundraising activities and it benefits the local literacy center in Beaufort County.
This year, the Bluffton Book Festival in celebration of its 5th anniversary and, because of coronavirus, is going virtual. There are many virtual events planned to include keynote sessions, workshops and panel discussions which will take place between Sept. 17 and Nov. 21. There are quite a few talented authors scheduled including Pulitzer Prize-winning and New York Times bestselling author Edward P. Jones, and #1 New York Times bestselling author James Patterson.
