Bio:

Dale Douthat is the president and CEO of the United Way of the Lowcountry.

Dale was born and raised in Louisville, KY and received his Bachelors of Fine Arts from Murray State Univeristy before entering a career in advertising. During his tenure in the ad world, he found a passion for serving others and in 2005 began a new career with Habitat for Humanity.

In 2019, he moved to Beaufort SC and took the helm of the United Way of the Lowcountry.  Since that time Dale has become an active member in the community serving on the Greater Island Council's Vision Steering Committee, on the Sea Island Rotary Club Board od Directors, as Chairman of the Lowcountry Early Childhood Coalition, and he is the Chair-Elect of the Board od Directors of the United Way State Association of South Carolina.

Dale and his wife Dawn live in Beaufort SC with their puppy Darby and their cats Max and Joey.
