Skip Blythe with Signature Golf Group (SGG) talked to the Bluffton Rotary Club on Wednesday, April 16th about the status of the Rose Hill Golf Club. SGG is the management company hired by the Rose Hill property owners to manage and reopen the golf course. The Rose Hill property owners bought the golf course but recognized the need for someone professional to run the course, so SGG was brought in. Skip Blythe and his wife have relocated to Bluffton and now live in Rose Hill.

Plans are to re-open the course this fall, "around September". Instead of the previous 27 holes, the "new" course will open with 18 holes. Of the nine unused holes, seven will become open space and two will become practice holes, which will be a bonus for anyone taking lessons. Along with the course work going on, the club house is undergoing a renovation too. All new plumbing, heating and air, carpet, painting, etc will transform the club house into "new". SGG is currently talking to two different groups about the restaurant, trying to decide whether to open a grill or a "real" restaurant.

SGG has the experience to pull this project together and Skip says "there is a lot to overcome, but this is what we do. We're excited about the opportunity."
