WEDNESDAY MORNING MEETING

Please join us for our next Wednesday morning meeting, Wednesday, May 1th at 7:30 am. Our guest speaker is fellow Rotarian Shawn Marlowe, Founder of Ready, Set, Adult Inc. Providing us some insight into what his team has been working on to support and prepare our local teens for adulthood. See you all there!

MEETING RECAP: May 4, 2022

Jessica Chapman from CAPA (Child Abuse Prevention Associates) came to speak to our club last week and explained all the great things they are doing in Beaufort County and the surrounding areas. CAPA offers a variety of programs to the community to help raise awareness about child abuse and its effects on the community. For more information please visit: capabeaufort.org.

MAYFEST 2022!

Mayfest 2022 was a success! The weather was perfect and our community did not disappoint! Thank you to all that volunteered and to the committee for coordinating the event. Great work RCB!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: REEF BUILDING PROJECT ON 5-14

This Saturday, May 14th, we have scheduled our Oyster Reef-building project with DNR. We need ten volunteers. Here are the details:

Saturday, May 14th
11:15am - 2:30pm
Meet at Alljoy public boat launch
Wear closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting wet or dirty.
Wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet or dirty.
Gloves
Sunscreen

We will load the man-made Oyster beds onto a boat and we will then boat to the area on the River where we will place the Oyster beds on the bank of the River. The boats will be provided.

There will have a sign-up sheet at our meeting this Wednesday morning. If you have any questions, give Jim Evans a call at 770-335-3524.
