Join us this Wednesday at the Rotary Community Center at 7:30 AM for our weekly meeting. This week we will be given a great presentation on Women's Heart Health by our very own Dr. Bill Epps: Born in Pensacola, Florida. Family moved to Ohio where Dr Epps attended Mt Union College Alliance, Ohio with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Subsequently accepted at Case-Western Reserve Medical University School of Medicine. At graduation he was awarded honors in Excellence in Patient Care. After graduation accepted for Internship at Case Western Reserve University hospitals. Subsequently attended University of Rochester Institute in Medicine and UPHS as Instructor in Medicine and UPHS Research Fellow in Cardiology. Dr Epps also served in the U S Naval Medical Corps at Beaufort Naval Hospital and Beaufort Marine Corps Air Station as a flight surgeon for two years. Dr Epps entered Private Practice in Massillon, Ohio for the next ten years. For nine years he was on the teaching staff of Northeastern Ohio School of Medicine. Dr Epps and his wife Nancy moved to her hometown of Bluffton, S.C. where Dr Epps was the initial Cardiologist at Hilton Head Hospital. Along with others Dr Epps established the Noninvasive Cardiology Department at Hilton Head Hospital. He later joined Savannah Cardiology and practiced in Savannah, GA. Dr Epps now semi-retired practices two days a week at Bluffton-Jasper Volunteers in Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and American Academy of Physicians.
He and his wife have four sons, 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. They reside on Myrtle Island in greater Bluffton.
