And our member spotlight was on our former President Mike Tripka who proudly proclaimed he was a New Jersey refugee for over 20 years. His now well-known hobby of making mead has blossomed into a full time business. He also spent 20 years as a bowling official and is in the Bowling Hall of Fame.
Bluffton Rotary members once again displayed their amazing support for the Bluffton Community with their generous contributions of food to assist Bluffton Self Help in its annual Thanksgiving food drive. Our club contributed well over $2000 worth of fresh and shelf stable food items for the food pantry at Self Help. In addition to the food donations, several members donated cash totalling over $300. Bluffton Rotary really does make a difference for our neighbors in need in the Bluffton community!
Don't forget: Out annual Christmas Party will be on December 6 at Charlie Wetmore's house, 48 Lawrence Street. Fun, Coctails, Hors D'Oeuvres, companionship and a chance to see all of Charlie's renovations over the last year.
Remember, don't try to park in Charlie's driveway. Park on Calhoun Street or in nearby public parking.
Regardless of issue, please let us know if something is going on to prevent you from attending our meetings. We have many members who can help, pray, or just call to lift your spirits.

Do you worry about Alzheimer’s? We do not have a cure for Alzheimer’s disease, but we must find one. Finding a cure starts with you. Every year the CART (Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust) Fund gives research grants focused on finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
Have you given to the CART Fund this year? The CART Fund is dedicated to raising funds to provide “seed” money for cutting edge, high impact research in hopes of finding a cure/prevention for Alzheimer’s disease. The goal of the CART Fund is to encourage exploratory and developmental Alzheimer’s disease research projects within the United States. This is accomplished by providing financial support for the early and conceptual plans of those projects that may not yet be supported by extensive preliminary data but have the potential to substantially advance biomedical research. These projects should be distinct from those designed to increase knowledge in a well-established area unless they intend to extend previous discoveries toward new directions or applications.
