RECAP: 9-23 MEETING

At our 9-23 meeting the 2020-2021 District Governor, Pauline B. Levesque, spoke to the club about the coming year for our district and modifications that have been made by clubs in our district because of Covid-19. We tried to play a YouTube video at her request. Unfortunately, we could only get the video portion to work and not the audio.

ROTARIANS IN ACTION

The Bluffton Rotary Club Service Projects Committee met on September 22nd to plan upcoming service projects for our community. The service projects enable Rotarians to give back to the community by focusing our efforts and working together for the greater good of Bluffton. The meeting was hosted by Bluffton Rotary Member Jim Evans in his beautiful home. Thanks, Jim!

The last service project the committee organized was a fundraiser for school supplies. The club raised $1,275.00 that was used to provide 250 Earbuds and 8 cases of Play-Doh for MC Riley and Red Cedar Elementary Schools at the beginning of this school year.

ARTS & SEAFOOD FESTIVAL DINNER ON THE GROUNDS

Enjoy a delicious catered Boxed-Dinner from Southern Spice Catering & Events with music, wine, history ...served in the Common Ground area at the Heyward House Museum or pick up and enjoy in your own home. Gather a group of 8 and purchase a table to support our two beneficiaries, Bluffton Historic Preservation Society and Bluffton Rotary Club.

Come and enjoy a night under the stars on Saturday, October 17th at 6 pm!

$125 per person but sold by tables of 8 only (so you know who you are seated with to be safe); limited to 100 attendees.

$100.00 of each ticket goes to our beneficiaries.

Saturday, October 24, 2020 and Sunday, October 25, 2020 Galleries and Shops open 10:00am -5:00pm.

The club will run beer tents on both days of the festival, and we will need volunteers to run the beer tents and clean up after the festival.

A volunteer sign-up sheet will be sent out in the coming weeks.

Stroll our Historic District visiting galleries and shops and see our state designated cultural district come alive! POP UP ART displays on gallery porches and lawns and on corner lots join the many galleries to highlight the artistic and cultural side of Bluffton. Refresh at one of our many restaurants or POP UP EATERIES and enjoy true Southern Hospitality!
