“Coach” Battista is a professional speaker, columnist, and author of “The Power of Pragmatic Passion – 7 Common Sense Principles for Achieving Personal and Professional Success.” Joe has spent his career helping to create, build, grow, and transform organizations and teams in business and in professional and collegiate sports. He has worked with Medtronic, Protective Insurance, Baker Tilly, USA Hockey, and the Big Ten Conference. Joe was a VP for the Buffalo Sabres, Director of Amateur Hockey for the Pittsburgh Penguins, and an Associate AD at Penn State University where he was also a Hall of Fame Hockey Coach. His teams won 512 games and six ACHA National Championships. Joe helped to secure the largest single philanthropic gift to Penn State, $88 million, from Terry and Kim Pegula in 2010 to bring NCAA varsity ice hockey to Penn State.
