Congratulations to our Students of the Month whom we celebrated at our January 28 Meeting: Mya Lopez Medina from M.C. Riley and Kristen Quarrie from Red Cedar.

We welcomed two new members to the club at our meeting: Michele Niles and Jesse Seidel. Congratulations!

Our member spotlight was on Bill Cornelius, a 50-year Rotary member.
This year marks 50 years since Bill Cornelius served as president of the Rotary Club in New York, a role that reflected a lifelong commitment to community service shaped by his family.
Cornelius credits his father and family with instilling in him the belief that giving back was simply a responsibility, not a choice. That foundation guided his leadership during his presidency and continues to influence his life decades later. He believes a positive attitude and perseverance matter more than anything else in achieving success.
When asked what still motivates him to be better after all these years, Cornelius didn’t hesitate, “Well, it’s better than the alternative.”
It’s a simple answer that captures a lifetime devoted to service, persistence, and showing up for others.
