Longtime Bluffton Rotarian Dies

It is with deep regret and sorrow that I inform everyone that longtime Bluffton Rotarian Thomas G. (Tommy) Heyward passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007 after a long illness.

Tommy was a faithful Rotarian for many years and his insights and humor will be missed. He was a lifelong Blufftonian and a current town Councilman. He was 65.

Tommy is survived by his wife Joan, son Thomas G. Heyward, Jr.; two daughters, Melanie Heyward and Laura Ashly Heyward; two sisters, Anne Heyward and Caroline Heyward Jenkins; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 30, 2007, at the Church of the Cross. Tommy is buried in the Bluffton Cemetery.
