Born in rural South Carolina and raised by a single mother.
Some how finished high school in McColl, SC in 1967, yes 1967
Joined the Army when I received a letter of “greetings” from Uncle same in 1968
Made the Army a career with duty in Okinawa, Vietnam, Thailand, Germany and several east coast assignments
Retired in 1989 at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3
Began working for SCDC only because they were hiring at the time of my retirement
Promoted to Warden at Allendale CI in May, 2011
Married (43 years) with two daughters, five grands and one great grand
